Description
Lysimachia minoricensis is a short-lived perennial native to Menorca, now extinct in the wild and preserved through cultivation. It is grown primarily for its lush, lance-shaped foliage with white or violet veining giving them a softly variegated appearance. L. minoricensis forms low, spreading mats in average soil, in partially shaded settings. Though technically perennial, it often behaves like a biennial, reseeding itself but rarely persisting long-term. Its flowers are inconspicuous, making the foliage the true ornamental feature.
