Description
Heracleum sphondylium ‘Pink Cloud’, also known as Pink Cow Parsley, is a bold and statuesque perennial that brings soft color and architectural drama to the summer garden. Growing 4-6 feet tall, it features massive, lobed green leaves and airy, flat-topped umbels of dusky pink flowers that bloom from June through September—often when little else is flowering. This pollinator magnet attracts bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects, making it a valuable addition to naturalistic borders and wild-style plantings. It thrives in fertile, well-drained soil with regular moisture and full to mostly sun. Though slow to mature, often taking several years to reach its full size and flowering potential, it rewards patience with grandeur and seasonal grace. Be sure to give it plenty of space—its commanding presence and vigorous growth demand room to shine.
Its sap may cause mild skin irritation when exposed to sunlight, but it differs markedly from the far more hazardous Heracleum mantegazzianum.
