Spirithouse Gardens is a micro‑nursery on the Canadian West Coast, dedicated to cultivating and sharing seeds for rare and unusual plants. Every seed is sustainably grown on site, and its germination method tested.
Successful germination begins with viable seed, which is why we provide the freshest seed possible. The next step is mimicking the conditions a species experiences in nature. Because many plants span wide ranges, there’s often more than one effective approach—and what works also depends on the conditions a gardener can offer. These notes reflect our own experiences. They’re not the only ones, and they may not always be the most efficient, but they’ve worked for us.
